Marty Robles-Avila

Marty is Senior Counsel in BAL's Dallas office. He writes and analyzes inadmissibility, eligibility and other legal issues in immigrant and nonimmigrant matters. A product of immigration himself, Marty relishes contributing to the creation of meaningful and enduring changes to both immigration law and the delivery of legal services in the corporate immigration space, particularly with the fateful advent of generative AI.

Marty’s creative lawyering, writing and advocacy have led to his success litigating numerous cases in Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals throughout the U.S. Marty closely follows the Supreme Court, generative AI and its impact on the practice of law, screenwriting and MMA. Outside of the office, Marty can be found listening to oral arguments and/or true crime podcasts at any given moment.
